a case of the mondays

yesterday was definitely a monday.
i woke up feeling dead tired, and just couldn't pull it together.
it was a rough day at the office,
a rough day at pure barre,
and i was even struggling to pull it together for craft time when i got home.
needless to say,
i'm super grateful for a bub-hub that loves cheerios at any time of the day.
i just wanted to crawl in bed, pull the covers over my eyes and sleep the rest of the day away.

i was so desperate for the LORD.
i know i need him everyday, but the rough days make me more aware of how intense my need for him is.
and as much as i don't like sad days,
i know they are so necessary.

i know that the love and sovereignty of the LORD is constant and never-ending, even on the days i want to crawl under my desk and cry.

do you ever have rough days??
what do you do when your rough day starts at 7 am?

  1. Girl i know what you mean.
That is what happened to me this morning, it seemed that everything i did just added to the pile of mindnumbing garbage that had already happened. You are not alone.
I've got to be honest...i'm STRUGGLING with getting in the Word daily...i'm struggling hard.
I've been putting off really figuring out what the shereadstruth.com is all about...but i'm really starting to think about it.
<3 you and i hope that your tuesday has been a little better.
I agree, sometimes we have to go through funks in order to appreciate the good days.
You can't know joy without pain, and you can't appreciate the sunshine without the rain. <3

  2. Oh yes! I think we have these rough days sometimes just so we will appreciate how much we have to be grateful for.

    I hope you're having a great Tuesday!

  3. Wow... seems like everyone was having a rough day yesterday. I was definitely a beast by dinner time but God is so good! I went to my Monday night Bible study and as usual I left feeling so much lighter in my heart and was ready to face another day.

When my rough day starts at 7am I call it a movie day and the kids and I do nothing.
