a weekend update :)

this weekend was a fantastic and relaxing one.
we spent saturday watching college football and playing games.
42 anyone?
i'm a pretty ok partner.
at least that's what bub-hub tells me.
sunday, i ran errands and did some damage at target.
can a girl ever have enough flats??
pretty sure the answer is no.
don't worry, only the bottom two are new purchases.
i didn't do that much damage. ;)
i also made a stop at crate and barrel and used a gift card to pick up some fall pieces for our new table!
yayyyy!
aren't gift cards are the best??
it makes shopping a little less painful and it's easier to explain why it was necessary to buy a bag full of plastic pomegranates to bub-hub. :)

i also made a fun announcement yesterday:

fun games with friends, shopping, and decorating for fall.
what's not to love?

how was your weekend??

pinning for apples

i've been seeing so many yummy posts about pumpkins and pumpkin spice lattes, and while i'm just as obsessed and in love as the rest of you, let's not forget about the other yummy things nature has to offer us during this fantastic season.

this week, i'm dedicating my pins to the forgotten fruit of fall:
the apple.

apple slices, crescent rolls, melted butter,  cinnamon & sugar.
cue mouth watering

apple pie bundles from one of my favorite baking blogs, bake or break:

and how yummy does this apple crisp pizza look??
i wanna eat this so bad right now i can barely stand it.

candied pecans, crisp apples, and yummy gorgonzola. yes please!

and a yummy apple spice cake with my favorite,,,,cream cheese frosting :)

and of course, apple cider doughnuts.
i'll take seven please.

please don't judge me by my sweet tooth alone.
every now and then i do enjoy apples on their own, just the way nature intended.

you can find me on pinterest here:

happy wednesday!!

pinteresting wednesday: fall fashion

is it terrible that i'm feeling bitter sweet about fall?
i am 100% pumped for cooler(ish) weather, pumpkin and spices, and football.
i'm 100% sad for the short sleeved shirts i'm going to be wearing until january.
i'm not a pessimist, i'm realistic, and i live in houston.

luckily, my office is always 20 degrees cooler than it is outside,
so i'll be able to get away with sweaters and boots during the work week.
yay!

this fall,
i'm looking forward to animal prints, gold accents and lots and lots of scarves.

what fashion pieces are you looking forward to for fall??
